D.I.Y! Yes, go on and Do It Yourself. With the aim of keeping the art alive & kicking, we saw the need to support photographer/printers who wish to process & print their work, without requiring their own darkroom. Each printing room is fully fitted out to print up to 20" x 24" paper. Rooms are suitable for two people to work in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Please call or email for a booking form. Bookings are essential. RATES 1/2 (4-hours) $70, Full day (8-hours) $120
PRINTING ROOM #1
Darkroom 1 includes 2x De Vere 5" x 4" enlargers and a De Vere 10" x 8" enlarger. This room is only available for clients requiring to print from 10" x 8" negatives. Rental includes standard chemistry.
PRINTING ROOM #2
Darkroom 2 includes Durst 5" x 4" condenser & diffusion enlargers and Besler 5" x 4" condenser enlarger. Also includes a dedicated Pre-Flash/Proofing enlarger. Rental includes standard chemistry.
FILM PROCESSING ROOM
Film processing facilities include 2x sinks, 2x film dryers, Durst 5" x 7" enlarger for contact printing and a stack of Paterson tanks for 35mm and medium format film. 5" x 4" film can be either tray processed or Jobo tank processed. All larger film stocks will require Tray processing. Due to the nature of film processing, rental is limited to 1 person only. Rental includes standard chemistry.
OTHER FACILITIES
Other facilities include light-boxes, RC paper dryer, FB paper dryer, print drying racks, dry mount press for flattening prints, spotting inks and excellent enlarger lenses. We are also happy to give advice on processing & printing, too. So come on down and get your hands wet.
